The liability insurance covers all legal practice activities, regardless of where the legal services are performed. The Law Firm\u2019s liability insurance and guarantee are underwritten by Topdanmark Forsikring A\/S, Borupvang 4, 2750 Ballerup. The policy number is 1156-Dkfl10569479.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Funds entrusted to the Law Firm are managed in accordance with the Danish Bar and Law Society\u2019s rules on client accounts (klientkontovedt\u00e6gten<\/a>). The Law Firm has client accounts with Danske Bank.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Law Firm is not liable for client funds deposited in client accounts with the firm\u2019s banking institution in the event that the financial institution becomes insolvent. In case of the bank\u2019s bankruptcy, depositors are covered under the Act on a Guarantee Scheme for Depositors and Investors. The guarantee fund covers an eligible depositor\u2019s funds up to an amount equivalent to EUR 100,000 (approx. DKK 750,000). The coverage limit applies to the Law Firm\u2019s total deposits with the bank, even if the funds are held in different accounts, including both client accounts and the firm\u2019s own accounts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Special rules apply to deposits related to real estate, if the real estate has been used for or is intended primarily for non-commercial purposes. In such cases, amounts up to EUR 10 million are covered for up to 12 months after the deposit was made, regardless of whether the deposit is held in a separate account. Further information about the guarantee scheme can be found on the Guarantee Fund\u2019s website www.gii.dk<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Law Firm uses a contractual clause on governing law and\/or jurisdiction, stipulating in its terms of business that any disputes concerning the Law Firm\u2019s advice shall be governed by Danish law and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Danish courts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n If your case falls under the rules of the Act on Prevention of Money Laundering and Financing of Terrorism (the Money Laundering Act), I, as your attorney, am obligated to inform you accordingly and to collect and store your identity information.
